Program Description

Our Winter Production provides an experience for teens to rehearse and perform in an Evening of One-Act Plays. Rehearsals occur in Providence on Sundays & Mondays, 4:30-6:00pm. The process begins with acting classes and games to build skills for teamwork. Students participate in auditions, learn skills for script analysis and character development, and rehearsing with an ensemble. For the last week, students participate in technical rehearsals, a dress rehearsal, and multiple performances.

Studio Playground provides a joyful and supportive environment for young actors to develop skills for perforamnce & collaboration. Students of all abilities and levels of experience are encouraged to join.

Our Winter Production is directed by Artistic Director Matthew Bretschneider. Stay tuned for an announcement about our venue and the titles of our one-acts play!

Rehearsals Include

  • Classes for Audition Techniques and Monologue Performance

  • Opportunities to Participate in Events, Including Trips to Professional Theater Productions
